WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

At Vesta Corporation, we firmly believe that the internet should be available and accessible to anyone, and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability.

To fulfill this promise, we aim to adhere as closely as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities. Complying with those guidelines helps us provide a site that is accessible to all people.

We have taken steps to ensure that this website utilizes various technologies meant to make it as accessible as possible. We utilize an accessibility interface that allows persons with specific disabilities to adjust the website’s UI (user interface) and design it to their personal needs.

Screen-Reader and Keyboard Navigation

Screen-reader optimization: We run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes — for example, accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons; validation guidance for form inputs; and element roles such as buttons, menus, and modal dialogues. Screen-reader adjustments can be turned on at any time by pressing the Alt+1 keyboard combination.

Keyboard navigation optimization: The website is fully operable by keyboard, including navigation with the TAB and SHIFT+TAB keys, operating dropdowns with the arrow keys, closing them with ESC, and triggering buttons and links with the Enter key. Quick-navigation and content-skip menus are available at any time by clicking Alt+1.

Disability Profiles Supported on Our Website

  • Epilepsy Safe: Eliminates the risk of seizures from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
  • Vision Impaired: Adjusts the website for the majority of visual impairments such as degrading eyesight, tunnel vision, cataracts, and glaucoma.
  • Cognitive Disability: Provides assistive features to help users with cognitive disabilities such as autism, dyslexia, and CVA focus on essential elements more easily.
  • ADHD Friendly: Reduces distractions and noise to help people with ADHD and neurodevelopmental disabilities browse, read, and focus.
  • Blind Users (Screen-Readers): Compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
  • Keyboard Navigation (Motor-Impaired): Enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard, with shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics).

Additional UI, Design, and Readability Adjustments

  • Font: Increase or decrease size; change family; adjust spacing, alignment, and line height.
  • Color: Select contrast profiles (light, dark, inverted, monochrome) and swap color schemes for titles, text, and backgrounds.
  • Animations: Stop all running animations, including videos, GIFs, and CSS transitions.
  • Content Highlighting: Emphasize links and titles, or highlight focused/hovered elements.
  • Audio Muting: Mute the entire website instantly.
  • Cognitive Disorders: A search tool linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary helps decipher phrases, initials, and slang.
  • Additional Functions: Change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and more.

Browser and Assistive Technology Compatibility

We aim to support the widest array of browsers and assistive technologies possible, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera, Microsoft Edge, and the JAWS and NVDA screen-readers, for both Windows and Mac users.

Notes, Comments, and Feedback

Despite our best efforts, it is possible that some pages or sections are not yet fully accessible. We are continually improving the accessibility of the site as technology advances. If you’ve discovered a malfunction, find any aspect difficult to use, or have ideas for improvement, we’d be happy to hear from you — please email us at info@vestacorp.com.
